An expert in the ergodic theory of dynamical systems, focusing on transfer operator methods, Young tower techniques, random dynamics, and the statistical properties of systems with non-uniform expansion.

A five-day school on the modern functional-analytic and probabilistic tools used to study the statistical properties of chaotic dynamical systems.
We are pleased to announce a specialized five-day school for talented undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, as well as early-career researchers working in dynamical systems. The school will be held on September 14–18, 2026, at the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, Uzbekistan.
The goal is to give participants a deep working knowledge of the modern functional-analytic and probabilistic tools used to study the statistical properties of chaotic dynamical systems. Over eight 80-minute lectures, two leading experts guide participants from foundational principles to advanced applications, complemented by tutorial sessions on carefully designed exercises.
The two lecture series are built to complement each other. Participants learn how transfer operators, standard pairs, and projective cone techniques form a powerful unified framework for proving results on invariant measures, decay of correlations, and limit theorems.
Final-day workshop. On the last day, invited talks and a poster session give participants the chance to present their work, discuss open problems, and interact with the lecturers and one another.

An expert in the ergodic theory of dynamical systems, focusing on transfer operator methods, Young tower techniques, random dynamics, and the statistical properties of systems with non-uniform expansion.

A world leader in the mathematical foundations of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics and dynamical systems, renowned for functional-analytic tools, the standard pairs technique, and applying Birkhoff’s cone method to prove spectral gaps for hyperbolic systems.
September 14–18, 2026 · Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. Each lecturer delivers four 80-minute lectures and four tutorials across the week.
On Monday, registration is 09:30–10:00, followed by the opening ceremony and a 10-minute break. Lunch is 12:20–14:00. Tutorials will be conducted by Marks Ruziboev, Karim Rakhimov, Farhod Haydarov, Davrbek Oltiboyev, and Olimjon Jalilov.
The school takes place at the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, Uzbekistan. A historic city on the ancient Silk Road, Jizzakh combines rich cultural heritage with modern development and attractive mountain resort areas. It sits on the high-speed rail line between Tashkent and Samarkand, making it an ideal base for exploring the region.

Registration opens June 1 and closes August 15, 2026. To register or ask a question, contact the local organizing committee below.
